Siempre se ha hablado que el desayuno es la comida más importante del día. Si esto es así, surge inmediatamente la pregunta, ¿Qué es un buen desayuno? , o qué deberíamos comer al desayuno para que sea un desayuno nutritivo?
 

A continuación mostramos los dos de los tipos de desayuno más comunes, junto con sus problemas. Finalmente, explicamos qué debe contener un desayuno para que le aporte a nuestro cuerpo lo básico que necesita.

 

Caso 1: El desayuno basado en carbohidratos

Por la mañana los carbohidratos simples (por ejemplo, los cereales refinados y azucarados, pan blanco, tostado, etc.) causan un aumento inmediato de los niveles de glucosa en la sangre, lo que resulta en la emisión sustancial de insulina. La insulina retira el azúcar de la sangra y convierte este exceso en grasas.
 

En consecuencia, disminuye el nivel de glucosa en la sangre y aparece la sed de más carbohidratos (hambre). Este ciclo se repite dos o tres veces más durante el día.  Cuando los niveles de glucosa en la sangre caen abruptamente, a menudo buscamos algo dulce para volver a elevar esos niveles.
 

Cuando esto sucede varias a veces a lo largo del día, terminamos comiendo demasiadas golosinas, y en consecuencia, demasiadas calorías.
 

Caso 2: No desayunar

"No tengo tiempo!", "no siento ganas", "me hace mal comer en la mañana", son las razones más comunes por las  cuales muchos no toman nada al desayuno. Sea esto cierto o no, el no desayunar puede ser muy perjudicial para su salud.
 

Cuando usted no desayuna, los niveles de glucosa en la sangre caen por debajo del nivel normal y usted comienza a sentir antojos, hay una caída de energía. Por ello, nuevamente suele recurrir a los carbohidratos simples para subir rápidamente la glucosa y así vencer el hambre y la caída de energía.
 

Los carbohidratos simples causan un aumento inmediato en el nivel de glucosa y una emisión sustancial de insulina. La insulina retira el azúcar de la sangre y convierte este exceso en grasa. Este ciclo se repite dos o tres veces más durante el día. Este circulo vicioso constituye uno de los motivos principales de la diabetes, la hipertensión y el sobrepeso.
 

La solución: Qué es un desayuno nutritivo?

Volvemos a la pregunta inicial: ¿Qué debe contener un buen desayuno ?.

Para que un desayuno sea nutritivo y sea considerado un buen desayuno, al menos debe cumplir cuatro criterios:

 

  1. Incluir un buen nivel de proteínas
  2. Contener todas las Vitaminas y Minerales
  3. Ingerir  Agua y Fibra
  4. Tener un nivel controlado de calorías, grasas y carbohidratos

 

Un desayuno así abastece al organismo de todos los nutrientes vitales y energía, sin aumentar los niveles de glucosa e insulina. Esto ayuda a evitar la dependencia en los carbohidratos todo el día.
 

De esta manera el apetito se controla, disminuyen los antojos de carbohidratos (bocadillos, pan, pastelería, chocolate, refrescos, gaseosas, etc.) y el cuerpo utiliza sus propias grasas almacenadas para obtener más energía.
 

De qué alimentos sacamos ese balance de nutrientes

Entonces, si sabemos que criterios debe cumplir un buen desayuno, de qué alimentos sacamos ese balance de nutrientes?
 

Muchos pensarán entonces que tomar un vaso de jugo, leche, frutas, cereales y tostadas con carnes blancas sería la solución, ya que tendría algunos minerales como calcio, vitaminas, agua, fibra y proteína. Sin embargo, a pesar que tendría algunos nutrientes, la cantidad de ellos en los alimentos sería aún muy baja (debido a que debido a que la comida de hoy en día no es tan nutritiva como lo era hace 30 o 40 años atrás). Y por otro lado, la suma de calorías y carbohidratos de un desayuno de ese tipo, sería demasiado alta.
 

Luego, existe una solución?. Si usted realmente quiere consumir un desayuno con todo lo que su cuerpo necesita, necesita apoyarse de los suplementos nutricionales.
